Class Project: As a class activity to help children learn the sounds associated with letters we will be making an environmental print ABC book. Environmental print is the print of everyday life. Environmental print is an excellent entry point for young children to learn to read and write. Each child has been assigned a letter of the alphabet for our book. Please help your find at least two (2) pieces of environmental print for their assigned letter. All pieces of environmental print are due no later than Friday, September 19th. Some places to look for environmental print are Sunday sale papers, magazines, newspapers, labels from items bought at the grocery store, or pictures of places and items.

Your child is bringing home a letter today (Monday) with their assigned letter and a list of ideas. This is only a partial list of environmental print ideas.

Wish List: We are need of a few things. Please read over the items listed below and see if their are any items you could furnish. Any help is greatly appreciated. Items we need: liquid glue, glue sticks, Popsicle sticks, card stock (for our ABC book) and clear page protectors (for our ABC book). Thanks!!!
