Winter is upon us!

Winter is officially upon us. Please remember to send your child to school in a warm coat, hat, and gloves everyday. We do try and go outside everyday in an effort to run off our pent up energy.

Reading: This week we are reading Little Quack by Lauren Thompson. Our concept question for this story is "What new things can you do as you grow and change?" Our AMAZING WORDS are: duckling, pond, paddle, plunged, proud, and brave. Our sight words this week will continue to be me, with and she.

Please remember that the student readers for this story are now online at http://www.pearsonsuccessnet.com/.

Phonics: This week we are learning about the /r/ sound made by letter R.
Math: We are finishing up our chapter on number 10-30. Please have your child practice counting to you.
100th Day Celebration: Today your child is bringing home a letter about our 100th day celebration. Please read over it carefully and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me at aavery@hsv.k12.al.us.
